There’s No Better Way to Spend Mexican Independence Day Than A
Restaurant Tour in the Historic Pilsen Community!

Chicago, IL:  On Thursday, September 15, 2011, Mexican Independence Day, the Historic Pilsen
Community will be bustling with hungry visitors attending the third annual Buen Provecho! Pilsen.  Many
local restaurants, cafes and bakeries will be participating in the restaurant tour providing visitors with a
sample of their delectable dishes.

Buen Provecho! Pilsen is centered along 18th Street in the heart of Pilsen’s commercial district and will
feature many restaurants, cafes and bakeries providing a sample of their signature dishes to attendees
between the hours of 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

Tickets to this event can be purchased $25 in advance on our Facebook page “Friends of ESDC” and $30 the day of
the event.  All proceeds benefit the Eighteenth Street Development Corporation, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.  
Tickets may be purchased by visiting www.eighteenthstreet.org, via Facebook or, in person at ESDC’s community office
located at 1843 South Carpenter, Chicago, IL  60608, 312-733-2287.  Attendees will receive their ticket along with a
routing map guiding them through Pilsen and all the participating restaurants to ensure they have the opportunity to visit
each site.  Please visit the website for exact locations of restaurants and additional information.  
Tickets can be picked
up at our
office located on 1843 S. Carpenter street Chicago, IL 60608 Monday - Friday 9am to 6pm.  Please
have your I.D. and purchase confirmation when you pick up your tickets.

The event is being brought to you by the Eighteenth Street Development Corporation (ESDC), a non-profit organization
located in Pilsen, one of the city’s most lively Mexican neighborhoods.  Since 1976, ESDC has served the Pilsen
community assisting with a variety of services including Commercial, Industrial, Housing Development and Historic
Preservation.   ESDC also offers technical and financial resource assistance to property owners and area businesses
on a variety of issues to ensure that neighborhood needs are being met and addressed.
